Choose a tradtional French buttercream cake, or surprise your guests with a gourmet cake. Any cake can include a message of your choice, roses, Jean-Marc’s fancy scrollwork, or even his coveted white chocolate flowers. When you call — 412.821.8533 — to place your order, you may discuss the details. Advance order is required for all the cakes.  Sometimes an order may be taken one day before, but it’s best to call as soon as you know you want a cake, especially the gourmet cakes.

French Buttercream Cakes
Cake choices are all yellow, all chocolate or half & half. Iced with vanilla or chocolate French buttercream.

Nine-inch round, serves 12–14.

Quarter sheet, serves 15–18. Not available in half & half batter.

Half sheet, serves 30–36.

Full sheet, serves 60–72.

If you are serving the cake the same day, no need to refrigerate.  If you bought the cake a few days in advance, just keep it in the fridge, but pull it out a few hours before and serve it at room temperture.  Since the icing is made of real butter, it tastes best at room temperature.

Yellow batter cakes: lemon raspberry, praline apricot, fresh strawberry, fresh raspberry, burnt almond
Chocolate batter cakes: chocolate mousse, black forest, raspberry mousse, German chocolate

Gourmet cake tip: If you are ordering a gourmet cake for the first time and you are not sure which flavor to choose, buy a slice of the flavor you are considering. Most gourmet cake varieties are available daily as slices in our storefront.

Refrigeration: If space in the refrigerator is limited, it may help to know that French buttercream cakes do not require refrigeration, and most gourmet cakes do need to be refrigerated.

Tarts as Cakes

If you want to do as they do in France, you may order any of Jean-Marc’s tarts as a birthday cake. He can write your happy birthday message on a small marzipan plaque. Trés chic!
